Hamlet(William Shakespeare)

Hamlet's environment, however, seems at first to be a Protestant drama because the story takes place in Denmark, and Hamlet back to Wittenberg, where he studied in the heart of the reform protestante.Mas this, in my opinion, does not prevent Hamlet is a deeply Catholic work.
The opening scene shows some soldiers who were sentinels who see the soul of the deceased king, Hamlet's father. They then warn Hamlet on the event. The soul then talks to Hamlet, and says he was murdered, to the surprise of the main character. She continues her story: says he is doomed to wander the night and during the day to fast the flames until the sins of his earthly life has passed. Here is a clear representation of the Catholic dogma of purgatory. I do not believe that Shakespeare was hostile to Catholicism, that is, if it were Protestant, never create a scene like this without condemning it explicitly. The soul of Hamlet's father wants revenge for his murder, and he tells the child how was it happened, had been killed by his own brother, Hamlet's uncle, who then becomes, lover of the queen. The spirit regrets, a Catholic who was, who died without extreme unction, without confession and the sacraments. Hamlet then believe in the account of his father's soul and vows revenge. The part drama starts there: how the spirit of Hamlet reacts to learn of such a betrayal of his father and the perfidy of his mother and his uncle. Hamlet then says that there are more things in heaven and earth than can assume our philosophy. This can either refer to the soul of your father appeared to live, as the betrayal that reigned in his family, which was more than anyone could imagine. The way Hamlet reacts to know the truth of such a tragedy is the central issue in this drama. Hamlet, who was a righteous person, does not seem to be able to support such a horror story and begins to act as if disturbed. He goes on to talk with strange words with his mother, his uncle, and his likely future wife, Ofelia.
